Petén - Santa Elena

Actun Kan

Near Flores, in the  Cerro de la Serpiente, Santa Elena, (Serpent hill), the Actun Kan  Caves (Flying Serpent in Maya). Is a place that you don't have to miss while in Flores.  The caves are relatively small and your visit wont take more than an hour, there are more than 30 formations with attractive  stalactite and stalagmite shaped in various forms and sizes.

The Caves are well lighted and the formations bare different names such as elephant leg, the frozen cascade the marimba hall etc.
